The Packrat's Quandary

I was in the basement tonight digging through box after box of homeschool books (looking for used textbooks to sell) when I discovered that I still have a lot of my son's completed schoolwork down there. He graduates from college in two weeks...it's probably safe to get rid of that stuff now, don't you think? :)

I still have portfolios going back to first grade for both of my kiddos hanging around the house. I get them out every now and then for a giggle and a sniffle...

My 16 year old and I were going over old times looking at his 2nd grade portfolio. We were howling in laughter over one of his English assignments in which he had to describe how to make a pizza..so funny. "First, I like makeining the doui" His spelling is much better now!

I have managed not to keep much more than a slim portfolio of kids' work. But, oh, the books! How can I get rid of the books? Some of them are so good that I might want to use them again myself. And grandkids....

Orationmom, I know what you mean about a giggle and a sniffle!

Susan, we have used so many good books over the years, and I forced myself to keep only the best, but that's still a pretty nice collection. I'm thinking grandkids, too ;)
