I look at these people who are supposed to be "stars" and even the ones that sing, when just given a microphone, they aren't able to even hit a note hardly. It has all definitely gotten out of control. Our society has turned being "famous" into the ultimate goal.Brumbemomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00868721068252745942noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7336449467823749252.post-31713364606489336942008-04-21T14:07:00.000-07:002008-04-21T14:07:00.000-07:00Bravo! Each child answered some questions, and the one question that interested me more than favorite food or color was "What do you want to be when you grow up?" No surprise to you that the majority of the children in the class wanted to be actors, rock stars, football players, or famous in some way. I believe that in all, only one girl wanted to be a scientist - something practical. It is a sad statement that our society nurtures children in this sort of environment. Probably the only person in the class who set an achievable goal is the girl scientist.

This is yet one more reason why my own kids don't watch TV!The Reluctant Homeschoolerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16344663418885710401noreply@blogger.com
